Hello everyone!

May’s club meeting has another great presenter on tap for your pleasure!

Evan Sherman, owner of Seasick Productions will be presenting to our club this month. Evan’s company, is a multimedia production house that specializes in underwater imaging. His work has earned numerous recognitions and awards in the photography and film festival worlds. Evan will showcase some of his newest work with aerial videography. His company is one of the breakout stars in drone photography and filming. He’ll also highlight some of the work Seasick Productions is renowned for in underwater filming and might even provide some helpful hints to you aspiring underwater photographers/videographers. Last, Evan will talk a little about his company’s expeditions and how you can join and learn from him on a trip of a lifetime. 

Such an exciting presentation, I’m sorry I’m going to be missing it. As a reminder, I won’t be at this month’s meeting. Instead, I’ll be on my own dive trip to Cozumel! This is the FREE trip I won at last year’s Scuba Show, so don’t forget to pick up your discount coupons as the meeting next week and go and sign up for Scuba Show giveaways! Lina will have the coupons up front. 

Lina will lead the meeting this month so go easy on her! 

Couple club reminders/items:

• CPR/1st Aid Course was a great success. If you didn’t get a chance to do it, let us know that you want to and we’ll look into scheduling another.
• Boat Dives/Beach Dives: We’ve had a string of bad swells that has made diving/snorkeling very poor off our coast. As a club our best bet will likely be to make some Catalina runs this summer. For that, we’ll need confirmation of people wanting to do so, possible member boat owners willing to take club members, and volunteers to help coordinate. Let us know your interest levels please.
• Our club presents at next month’s ALYC General Meeting, June 9th! Lina and Scuba.com are finishing up a video to show. Send her your pictures and videos for inclusion. AND come to the meeting to support the club!
